After 32 years father seeking answers in son's death

While it’s been 32 years since the King family experienced their worst nightmare, the abduction, molestation and murder of their 11-year-old son Timmy, somehow nobody has ever been charged in his death.

However now the family thinks they know who the killer is. They are suspecting a Bloomfield Township pedophile is responsible for their son’s murder.

The pedophile they said was questioned three weeks before Timmy’s murder.

The King family say they are feeling frustrated because repeated requests to the Michigan State Police for meetings seem to keep getting postponed and say the task force asked to prove the case, is sitting on information that could finally close the case once and for all.

Timmy’s mother, Marion, died in 2004. It is Timmy’s father Barry King, 78, who said he wants to know why the family is being stonewalled.

Timmy was reportedly the last victim of the infamous Oakland County child killer during a 13-month reign of terror between February 1976 and March 1977.

Police reports say he was abducted and held for six days before his body was found on the side of a road with his orange skateboard tossed nearby.

Back then, it was the most extensive murder investigation in U.S. history. Rewards totaling $200,000 for information leading to the killer's apprehension had been raised.

By December 1978, the task force had disbanded. After close to 5,000 interviews, 99,000 names and nearly 18,000 tips, no one had been arrested.

Second district commander in charge of Southeast Michigan, Capt. Harold Love overseeing the task force currently working on the case said he understands there has been a lot of frustration felt by the Kings over the past couple of weeks.

Love said he doesn’t blame them at all and that the task force has had some internal issues about information gathering and needed them to all be on the same page first.
