Comparison's between the Ford Mercury Montego, The Ford Mercury Cougar, and The Ford Gran Torino.

The car thing is going to become very important as the story progresses.

BTW, some of you might ask, if the car was a Gran Torino why didn't I recognize it from the TV show Starsky & Hutch, and the answer to that is easy. Starsky & Hutch hadn't premiered on TV yet.
