"On the 21st of June, when the sun arrives at the summer solstice, the constellation Leo--being but 30° in advance of the sun--appears to be leading the way, and to aid by his powerful paw in lifting the sun up to the summit of the zodiacal arch. * * * This visible connection between the constellation Leo and the return of the sun to his place of power and glory, at the summit of the Royal Arch of heaven, was the principal reason why that constellation was held in such high esteem and reverence by the ancients. The astrologers distinguished Leo as the 'sole house of the sun,' and taught that the world was created when the sun was in that sign. 'The lion was adored in the East and the West by the Egyptians and the Mexicans. The chief Druid of Britain was styled a lion.'" When the Aquarian Age is thoroughly established, the sun will be in Leo. Then, indeed, will the secret religions of the world include once more the raising to initiation by the Grip of the Lion's Paw. (Lazarus will come forth.)

The Bembine Table of Isis

"Plato was initiated into the 'Greater Mysteries' at the age of 49. The initiation took place in one of the subterranean halls of the Great Pyramid in Egypt. The ISIAC TABLE formed the altar, before which the Divine Plato stood and received that which was always his, but which the ceremony of the Mysteries enkindled and brought from its dormant state. With this ascent, after three days in the Great Hall, he was received by the Hierophant of the Pyramid (the Hierophant was seen only by those who had passed the three days, the three degrees, the three dimensions) and given verbally the Highest Esoteric Teachings, each accompanied with Its appropriate Symbol. After a further three months' sojourn in the halls of the Pyramid, the Initiate Plato was sent out into the world to do the work of the Great Order, as Pythagoras and Orpheus had been before him."

Before the sacking of Rome in 1527 there is no historical mention of the Mensa Isiaca, (Tablet of Isis). At that time the Tablet came into the possession of a certain locksmith or ironworker, who sold it at an exorbitant price to Cardinal Bembo, a celebrated antiquary, historiographer of the Republic of Venice, and afterwards librarian of St. Mark's. After his death in 1547 the Isiac Tablet was acquired by the House of Mantua, in whose museum it remained until 1630, when troops of Ferdinand II captured the city of Mantua. Several early writers on the subject have assumed that the Tablet was demolished by the ignorant soldiery for the silver it contained. The assumption, however, was erroneous. The Tablet fell into the hands of Cardinal Pava, who presented it to the Duke of Savoy, who in turn presented it to the King of Sardinia. When the French conquered Italy in 1797 the Tablet was carried to Paris. In 1809, Alexandre Lenoir, writing of the Mensa Isiaca, said it was on exhibition at the Bibliothèque Nationale. Upon the establishment of peace between the two countries it was returned to Italy. In his Guide to Northern Italy, Karl Baedeker describes the Mensa Isiaca as being in the center of Gallery 2 in the Museum of Antiquities at Turin.

came across some info on Venus on the mayan calander and 2012

http://sumer.artideas.com/Why2012/Why2012.html

A Story Told in the Sky

As seen from the City of the Sacrament on 13.0.0.0.0, Saturn is on the horizon when the Sun is on the solstice. Saturn, said to be a god of fertility, also associated with Satan, is the god for which Saturday is named. He has held many jobs in the council of gods. This morning he has been tasked to be the Herald and lead a wedding procession. Saturn drags behind him the spent scales of Judgment, the constellation Libra. The judgment now over, Libra will be the symbol of Justice in a new age of Peace and Harmony, the Age of the Matriarch.

Libra has cleared the horizon at five and a half hours after midnight. In the west Jupiter the Mighty, is riding Taurus the Bull. He stands guard over the remnants of a dying age. Jupiter stands between the wedding party and Orion, the celestial symbol of Man. Orion's legs are below the horizon with his belt just above. The Age of the Patriarch is coming to an end as he sinks below the horizon and enters the Underworld for the last time. Behind Orion is his consort Sirius going to the Underworld with him.

In the East Venus is on the horizon. Venus, symbolic of war to the Maya, was the Greek goddess of love. As Inanna, her Sumerian persona, she started as a goddess of love and purity, but in the end her behavior was more lustful than loving. Also she took up the art of war and became known as a goddess of war. So here is a universal symbol of destruction, both social and personal, rising just above the celestial symbol for the God of Peace, Antares. Ares, the Roman god of war is opposed by Antares, the rival of War.

Venus is now cast in the roll of the BrideGroom. At the same time, still out of sight below the horizon, the Sun is on the galactic equator. The Sun is now playing the role of the Bride. She bathes in the pure waters of the galactic river. As the BrideGroom did before her, she washes away the quilt and lust that comes from judgment. Once cleansed she will rise to wed the One Who Grooms the Bride, the Earthly Father.

Antares is one of three red super giant stars that are the likely to supernova. One of the others is Betelgeuse, Orion's right shoulder. A supernova of Betelgeuse on this morning would be symbolic of the disarming of Orion, taking away his sward arm. With the warrior, the one who makes war gone, there is no need for opposition to war. It is too much to ask that the hundreds of billions of people living around these two stars give up their lives to get a message to us. But, if it is destiny for both of these red giant stars to supernova at the same time, the symbology of such an occurrence on this morning would be overwhelming.

Below Venus is the messenger Mercury. He comes to announce the Bride. Below the Bride are the other members of the wedding party. By order of their appearance they are Pluto, Mars, Neptune and Uranus. At the end of this procession is the most ancient symbol of sin. The Moon is the symbol of the Sumerian Moon God Nanna-Suen, also known as Sin. The Temple of the Moon was in Ur, now an ancient ruin in southern Iraq.

Sin was conceived before mankind was created when his father, Enlil, Lord Air, raped Sin's mother, Ninlil, Lady Air, on their first date. When it comes to sin you can't get much more original than a god raping a goddess. But by the end of this new age the Moon will have returned to its rightful job as symbol of the mother. It will set the rhythm of the reproductive cycle. The Sun will have returned to its job as symbol of the Universal Creator, the Light that shines in all of us. The Heavenly Father will have left the Earth and returned to the heavens to fulfill his mission as protector of the womb.

When Orion rises again, just after sunset, it will be symbolic of a cooking hearth. The left most star in the belt and the two knee stars are now the three stones of the cooking hearth and the Orion Nebula is the fire. The Maya see this in these stars of Orion and pattern their traditional hearth after it. The Bride is now tired after the first day of this long wedding festival. She returns to the hearth. The Matriarch is home.

In the spring of 2013, this is a spring wedding after all, the Bride, the Sun and the BrideGroom, Venus rise together as they say their wedding vows. In the late spring of 2016, just weeks before the summer solstice, the BrideGroom enters the Bride. Venus goes behind the Sun and passes very close to its center. They mate and conceive. The happy couple is due in 5616, give or take a century or two.

Reserve your seats now for this one time only performance by the Theater of Millions of Years.

Editorial Note: In the above it is said that the judgment is over as Saturn rises on December 21, 2012. There is another option. One of the ancient documents suggests there is to be three and a half years of "tribulation." This would be the period of judgment. For this to be over on December 21, 2012, the tribulation needs to start in June of 2009. The other option is that the time between the start of the wedding procession and the mating, a period of three and a half years, is the time for getting the house in order for the pregnancy. I have mixed felling about the two possibilities. The three and a half years of social turbulence we will have to go through is not going to be much fun for anyone. So from a personal point of view I would like to delay it as long as possible. On the other hand, the world we live in now is not much fun for most of us. Since nothing of the Creator is ever lost, the sooner we take our medicine the better. We have no choice in the matter. It will happen when it happens. Our mission is to share what we have with those in around us and bring as much joy and happiness into the world as we can.

History of the Enneagram

Although the enneagram is known today as a system of personality, an enneagram (or enneagon) is actually an ancient nine-point star. You can see it in our Interpersonal Dynamics logo. Pythagoras, 540 b.c., used this symbol as his spiritual signature. According to his writings, he learned of the enneagram in the Egyptian Temple of the Goddess Isis located in what was called Heliopolis. However, he was taught that the origins of the enneagram dated back another 10,000 years – from his time – to a civilization which was more advanced than ours today. You probably learned the Pythagorean Theorem in geometry. Pythagoras is the founder of the Pythagorean school of science and mathematics and was an acknowledged master in the field. However, he was ridiculed for hundreds of years after his death for his belief in the connection between the enneagram numbers and personality.

More recently, the noted Russian philosopher Gurdjieff is reported to have traveled to what we now call the Middle East in search of the Secret Sarmouni Brotherhood, the reputed keepers of the ancient mysteries of the enneagram. In the early 1900's, intellectuals and notables from around the world flocked to New York and Paris to study with Gurdjieff. He offered his students personal discovery and awakening through intricate patterns of rhythm, dance, and movement, all of which were based on the enneagram. Gurdjieff, however, never revealed the enneagram as his inspiration or source.

In our own time, Oscar Ichazo, a contempary philosopher born in Bolivia, also traveled to Egypt and the Middle East and reportedly studied the ancient mysteries. Ichazo returned to his native land and used the enneagram of personality in the oral tradition of the ancients. In 1970, he taught his "enneagram system" to a few initiates in Arica, Chile. Nothing was written, and all students were required to sign an Oath of Secrecy. It was through the lineage of Ichazo's students that knowledge of the enneagram reached the United States in the late 1970's. The most notable of his students was Claudio Naranjo, MD, a psychologist who subsequently taught Palmer, Riso, Condon, Molina, Rhor, et. al., – still requiring an Oath of Secrecy.

IT was a common practice among the early Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans to seal lighted lamps in the sepulchers of their dead as offerings to the God of Death. Possibly it was also believed that the deceased could use these lights in finding his way through the Valley of the Shadow. Later as the custom became generally established, not only actual lamps but miniatures of them in terra cotta were buried with the dead. Some of the lamps were enclosed in circular vessels for protection; and instances have been recorded in which the original oil was found in them, in a perfect state of preservation, after more than 2,000 years. There is ample proof that many of these lamps were burning when the sepulchers were sealed, and it has been declared that they were still burning when the vaults were opened hundreds of years later. The possibility of preparing a fuel which would renew itself as rapidly as it was consumed has been a source of considerable controversy among mediæval authors. After due consideration of the evidence at hand, it seems well within the range of possibility that the ancient priest-chemists did manufacture lamps that burned, if not indefinitely, at least for considerable periods of time.

There are several interesting stories concerning the discoveries of ever-burning lamps in various parts of the world. In a tomb on the Appian Way which was opened during the papacy of Paul III was found a burning lamp which had remained alight in a hermetically sealed vault for nearly 1,600 years. According to an account written by a contemporary, a body--that of a young and beautiful girl with long golden hair--was found floating in an unknown transparent liquid and as well preserved as though death had occurred but a few hours before. About the interior of the vault were a number of significant objects, which included several lamps, one of them alight. Those entering the sepulcher declared that the draft caused by the opening of the door blew out the light and the lamp could not be relighted. Kircher reproduces an epitaph, "TULLIOLAE FILIAE MEAE," supposedly found in the tomb, but which Montfaucon declares never existed, the latter adding that although conclusive evidence was not found, the body was generally believed to be that of Tulliola, the daughter of Cicero.

Ever-burning lamps have been discovered in all parts of the world. Not only the Mediterranean countries but also India, Tibet, China, and South America have contributed records of lights which burned continuously without fuel. The examples which follow were selected at random from the imposing list of perpetual lamps found in different ages.

Plutarch wrote of a lamp that burned over the door of a temple to Jupiter Ammon; the priests declared that it had remained alight for centuries without fuel.

It is now believed that the wicks of these perpetual lamps were made of braided or woven asbestos, called by the alchemists salamander's wool, and that the fuel was one of the products of alchemical research. Kircher attempted to extract oil from asbestos, being convinced that as the substance itself was indestructible by fire an oil extracted from it would supply the lamp with a fuel likewise indestructible. After spending two years in fruitless experimental work, he concluded that the task was impossible of accomplishment.

Several formulæ for the making of the fuel for the lamps have been preserved. In Isis Unveiled, H. P. Blavatsky reprints two of these formulæ from early authors--Tritenheim and Bartolomeo Korndorf. One will suffice to give a general understanding of the process:

"Sulphur. Alum ust. a ℥ iv.; sublime them into flowers to ℥ ij., of which add of crystalline Venetian borax (powdered) ℥ j.; upon these affuse high rectified spirit of wine and digest it, then abstract it and pour on fresh; repeat this so often till the sulphur melts like wax without any smoke, upon a hot plate of brass: this is for the pabulum, but the wick is to be prepared after this manner: gather the threads or thrums of the Lapis asbestos, to the thickness of your middle and the length of your little finger, then put them into a Venetian glass, and covering them over with the aforesaid depurated sulphur or aliment set the glass in sand for the space of twenty-four hours, so hot that the sulphur may bubble all the while. The wick being thus besmeared and anointed, is to be put into a glass like a scallop-shell, in such manner that some part of it may lie above the mass of prepared sulphur; then setting this glass upon hot sand, you must melt the sulphur, so that it may lay hold of the wick, and when it is lighted, it will burn with a perpetual flame and you may set this lamp in any place where you please."
