MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- An 11th-grade Carolina Forest High School student is dead Friday morning after officials said he stabbed a school resource officer who defended himself with gunfire.
Teal Britton, spokeswoman for Horry County Schools, told WMBF-TV that a male student approached a student resource officer in his office and a fight ensued. The student, 16, stabbed the officer, who returned with gunfire, Britton said.
